One of my hobbies is studying and re-creating historical clothing. Last weekend I wore that to a living history event. They were rationally intended for cool-weather outfits mostly with leggings, but I really wanted to try them out today. So this is a SYC attempt at sporty luxe. Hence the popped collar (when my hair hasn't smushed it) and the big shiny earrings.</p> <p>The pictures are horribly yellow and unfocused, and the whole effect is darker and more low-contrast than I prefer. I'm trying to convince myself that the darkness makes it autumn-ish.</p> <p>The last picture is WIW 9/18. Very stylin' for 1861.</p> <p>#1-4: white blouse, Kohl's brand; navy skirt, Lands' End; jacket, Gaiam; sneakers, Vera Wang. </p>
