I will look for some solid tights to try the 60s look. </p> <p>It isn't petite but the waist is higher than my natural waist. The belt seems to accentuate it, but the coat has belt loops so I don't think it will look right to wear without the belt. </p> <p>Edited: Thank you for your helpful comments Deborah. I don't mind wearing shorter lengths sometimes but it can be a fine line, particularly for work, so I think completely opaque tights will do the trick for the 60s look. </p> <p>My 87yo very conservative mother is usually my skirt/dress length gauge. <b>Me:</b> Is this too short mum? The flash made them look more faded than they really are. The fading is quite subtle.</p> <p>I LOVE the idea of faux leather leggings. I've never worn a midi length skirt.....but I'm up for some experimentation next time I shop. The brooch is from Etsy, Chanel inspired, not the real deal.</p> <p>Looking at the pic, I'm a little perplexed at the high waist. Should I have worn something a little longer under it that peeks out the bottom, or will that accentuate it even more? I'm quite short-waisted with a large bust. I tried it over dark skinnies and it didn't look any good. Because it's light weight, it will be perfect for Winter, but I want to make sure I wear it the best way. </p> <p>Suggestions/advice would be most welcome! </p>
