Bump.

Just wondering about your thoughts with the different scarf tucked and jacket open. Thanks!

I added some more photos, one of which is a closeup of the jacket. Jayne, I don't think it is the jacket pulling but rather the kind of ruffling in the front.

The jeans in the new pictures are different and fit better and I changed the shoes out too. It's hard to make out but there is a bit of leopard print on the top of the shoe. Sleeves are scrunched. Pic 3 is with a smaller scarf tucked in to the jacket. Pic 4 is that same outfit but with the jacket unbuttoned. Pic 5 is a red shirt, tucked and belted.

See how it is kind of odd when left open? The collar just flops there so I feel like I look like I've been on a bender.

I guess I cannot see the ruffles well enough, to me it looks like the jacket is too small buttoned and is pulling across your chest. Perhaps this is the ruffles and not the case but if too small to button then hanging open would be best. Otherwise, great styling!

Love the jacket & the colours. I'd like to see the jacket without the scarf - or with a shorter necklace or the scarf tucked?

Love the colours. Did you try tucking the scarf in? I'm not sure, because I can't make out enough of the jacket, but it might look great just wrapped around your neck a couple of times (twisted a bit) with the ends tucked inside the jacket. Of course, that might be a little too warm for your weather and would also depend on the shape of the collar.

Poor, poor pup - but what a good caregiver you are to him! And I love the bookending of the jacket and shoes. Don't you just love friends who offer gifts of their unloved clothes? The way I see it, it's a GREAT way to try a style or colour you might be afraid to try.

Poor pup! I agree about seeing the jacket open, but the overall outfit looks stylish and fab to my eyes.

Thanks Merwoman, Deborah and Claire. I'll try posting a photo with the jacket open to see what you all think. I just felt it looked sloppy.

Oh, your poor pup! I can sympathize because seasonal allergies make me itch too.

This is a nice jacket, and a bonus that it doesn't show dog hair. I can't see any real detail because of your scarf, but it looks very versatile. It would also be great unbuttoned with the sleeves scrunched (unless of course it's too cold for that, natch)!

I think the jacket was a great score! The ruffle seems quite subtle and the shape is very flattering, partcularly the way it works with the wider leg/bootcut? Jeans. It creates a very feminine silhouette. The scarf is perfect and the shoes great. Pil you look so well put together and this is a wonderful stylish woman running around town outfit. I would love to see what the jacket looks like unbuttoned:)

Great outfit Pil - I love tan and blue together. I think you scored well on the jacket - I like the sleeves of your shirt peeking thru, and lovely scarf. Love the colour of your hair.
I would be tempted to push up the sleeves on the jacket -but maybe that would work better if the jacket was unbuttoned.
Hope your girl is feeling better soon!

Between allergies and an ear infection my poor pug is scratching herself raw, so off to the vet we went.

We were there earlier this week and thanks to YLF I even painted my toes coral to coordinate with the linen jacket and aqua tee I wore for that visit.

Today I wore a "new" hand-me-down jacket from a friend - this is the perfect color to disguise pug hair. My friend doesn't like the ruffled effect on the front, particularly because she is bustier than I. The styling here leaves much to be desired, such as the sleeves and hem of the tee shirt hanging out but I *thought* it fit well and I like the cuffs. Leaving the jacket open looks sloppy because it just hangs, so I buttoned the two middle buttons. The jeans are the pair I don't mind getting hairy and slobbery. Shoes are my reptile print mules. They don't show up well in the picture, but do receive lots of compliments. Even got one today from the receptionist.

Comments on the jacket and/or styling suggestions? Or should I have graciously declined my friend's offer?

My girl wore her matching daisy print collar and leash - and stylish plastic cone collar to keep her from scratching.
