But to me, they marked something very important in my life and I WANTED a reminder that will stay forever. </p> <p>I have a tattoo of my husband's name done artistically ---- I got that after our wedding and it's on my shoulder so doesn't show often. I lost my beloved dog last year and it broke my heart. I have her name tattooed on the inside of my right wrist and I haven't worn a bracelet since because I WANT TO LOOK at it all the time. </p> <p>I hope you're not going to worry about it. My DD got 2 piercings in her ears before age 18 and then freshman year in college got a cartilage piercing and called me afterwards crying because it hurt a great deal afterwards for a while. After seeing your post yesterday I asked if she was still considering getting a tatoo and she said she was still on the fence regarding it. I knew we couldn't change her mind, but we could at least go and see if it was a decent operation.
