They're a Mongolian rock band that combines your usual rock instruments with traditional ones from their culture, and they do throat singing. Concerts take a lot out of me, especially if they're standing room only, with my chronic back pain... and I also have tinnitus, have since I was a kid. I never saw them, although I’ve seen Henry a couple of times. I'm still wary of indoor gatherings, but this venue required proof of vaccination (and masks, but they also had a bar, so people would remove their masks to drink and some just didn't keep them on once I side... mine stayed on the entire time). I'm really happy to support these artists and the venue!</p> <p>High fives to Star and Janet! Live music is one of my absolute favorite things to experience. This was my very first concert since before the pandemic. He was unfortunately not able to go, but he sent me the tickets so I could find another companion and go so they wouldn't go to waste. It was an amazing show--maybe the best rock concert I've ever been to! </p> <p>I ended up buying T-shirts from both The HU and the opening band, The Haunt, to support them... a size down from what I've bought for the last decade, because I've noticed some of my unisex XL T-shirts are getting a little too loose on me. Another exciting proof of progress. And I'm really looking forward to wearing the new band tees this week while I'm dressing more casually while on vacation from work. I opted for tees with simple but bold black and white graphic designs because they suit my style. </p> <p>I really enjoyed the outfit I wore to the show, too: moon phases tee, black blazer, dark wash bootcut jeans, snakeskin booties, and a leather bracelet with gray metal star studs. I wore a black mask with my mom's subtle blog logo on it as well. My hair is now a bit messy from head banging. </p>
