Her face is mostly white but framed in gray. We had a female who died in 2006, ( at 12.5 years) who was all white. Our girl is named Lara, after the Julie Christie character in Dr. Zhivago, because she is a Russian Wolfhound. But people not of my generation, (I'm 65) don't usually get the reference. I guess the reason is that they seem striking to me and I don't want to wear them EVERY day. Plus I saw a chance to wear an orphaned pair of shoes in a way that looked reasonably good to me, and fit my persona-of-the-day as someone more conservative and reliable. When I was wondering recently if I should purge the Beautifeels, DD said, "Keep them, mom, you might need them to wear to a funeral!"</p> <p>Gracie and Aubergine, thanks--I'm glad I'm still fun!</p> <p>Denise, the taps thing gets into the more unique aspects of this very competent man's personality. The guy who runs these meetings wears a white shirt with black suit and tie every day (and taps on his shoes, but perhaps that's another story). </p> <p>So I got out the suit jacket again, less tongue in cheek this time, as a kind of homage. Plus the lovely gray Vince slacks Rae found for me. </p> <p>The Beautifeel pumps are several years old but look new and are divinely comfortable. However I'd started feeling dowdy in them. I didn't today though. I do find that most of the trouble in designing an outfit lies in picking out the shoes!</p> <p>Bonus shot of Baby meeting a new friend. </p>
