I was cold, but that's because I don't have fleece-lined tights! I like the long-john idea, too. I've got some, but they're thicker (and bright purple). I thought about boots as well, but I"m navigating some foot issues and was looking to rotate heel heights a bit.&nbsp;<br />I clearly have a lot to learn on the layering thing.&nbsp;</p> <p>The sweater would do with a re-block. that's a good idea. I also thought about putting in some ribbon around the collar, to prevent further stretching. Still, at the end of the day, it IS too big. I knit this to fit a me that was 30 lbs heavier. I'm not really in the mood to re-knit it. Not yet, anyway. That scarf is gorgeous &amp; flatters your colouring beautifully.</p> <p>Do you have silk long johns? My mom got two pairs of the leggings&nbsp;for me when I went off to college in the Midwest (from Texas) and ten years later they're still going strong and make a *huge* difference in terms of warmth. I can wear them invisibly under average tights, especially if I have ankle boots or taller to hide the hem bit. Otherwise I just scrunch wool socks over top, but that might be a bit casual for you, I'm not sure. And I don't get uncomfortable wearing them in central heating, even though I overheat quickly. They're a kind of magic, I'm convinced! So a pair of cozy fleece lined leggings on cold days and a cute skirt with a cardi--its the bee's knees! I don't think its too much knit, personally.
