We just got home and both John and I shed fewer tears this year than other years... so I guess that's something. :-)</p> <p>Suz: thank you!! It is funny because I think the thing that helped me most was to just talk about it in my earlier post. That's all that it took for me to sit down and face what was going on and take stock of my clothes. This afternoon I tried on all of my smaller clothes and was able to determine that about a third or more were wearable now, a third are really close to working, and the rest I just don't like any more. That alone helped breathe new life into me! I felt really good tonight. The other thing that helped was promising to post my hair and a WIW. We went to an annual ballet that our niece is in every year, as well as one of Ethan's classmates and her sister (who was Ellie's best friend and is now a lovely 6 foot tall teenager!). This is always bitter sweet for us. Ellie danced here the first year the studio was open, but was too sick to continue after that. Every year, they put Ellie's name in the program. </p> <p>I opted for a casual outfit, as most people tend not to dress up. These shorts finally fit me again, and I paired them with a new top from CAbi that is rather large but worked semi tucked. I thought that my mustard and gold clutch dressed it up enough, along with the ankle strap wedge sandals. And as promised, the new hair. :-)</p> <p>ETA: photo of Ellie's friend (with permission from her mother if I didn't post her name). FYI... I am wearing heels... She is not. </p>
