Pumps and cowboy boots!</p> <p>I had planned to wear the suede boots (the bottom "shoe" part is smooth leather and I've waterproofed 'em, so I'm not afraid of the rain), but like somebody said I felt like they made the outfit look too bottom-heavy. So I braved the elements in the pumps and fortunately the rain let up.</p> <p>Today I went with the cowboy boots because (a) it tickled me to wear almost-25-year-old boots to work and (b) I felt like the top part of the outfit was a little bulky so I wanted a little more bulk on the bottom.</p> <p>I kind of felt like today was the day I lost touch, once and for all, with the concept of "appropriate business wear," but you know what? I LOVED today's outfit and have felt awesome all day (especially with Lisa's pink trench over it all!).
