What you said about the shoes has been suggested by several ladies up top, and I intend to remember by plainer bronze flats next time :-)</p> <p>The power situation is all sorted. We couldn't figure it out at all in the morning. The mains would just keep tripping, for seemingly no reason. Even when I switched off *everything* but the fridge and the water purifier --- it still tripped. So then, coming back to a dead house in the afternoon, I thought we might start disconnecting appliances one by one, in case one of the power switches was faulty and leaking while in the off position. Guess what? The water heater did it!
