I originally tried #2 with a longer top but didn't like it - due to the proportions - so I put on this shorter tee. I will try tucking the tee next time. Well, a line from the book that I repeat often is "Some days are like that." And oh, today was one of those days. </p> <p>Here's why:<br />1. Dropped the electric toothbrush this morning (with it running), looked down at my clothing and said "Oh good, I didn't get any on me." Got to work and realized I had gotten it all over my red skirt. <i>OK well not ALL OVER, but enough spots to get me really ticked off.</i><br />2. Attempted to remove aforementioned stains from red skirt using a Tide Stain Stick, only to realize that aforementioned stain stick was empty :(<br />3. Did you know that whitening toothpaste has a bleach-like substance in it and is really hard, if not impossible,&nbsp;to remove from a red skirt?<br />4. Had a meeting this morning at which I <span> sounded reasonably intelligent, after which I went&nbsp;into the ladies room to discover that my head of hair had been replaced with Einstein's head of hair. <i>Oh well, maybe that added to the "sounded reasonably intelligent" thing.</i></span></p> <p><i><br /> </i></p> <p><i></i>So this is what I wore this week, minus two repeats that I didn't photo:<br />1. Several people thought I was really dressed up in this, to which I replied, "What? This is dressed down. There's no way you can&nbsp;be dressed up in a flannel shirt!" I think the statement necklace gets lost with the shirt, next time I'll wear pearls, that would be fun. Also, next time I'll try my leopard print pumps - extra fun!<br />Flannel shirt - Joe Fresh, seamed pencil skirt (now with toothpaste spots) - JCP, beige-with-black-specs pumps - Lifestride, red statement necklace - Charming Charlie<br /><i><br /></i>2.<i>&nbsp;&nbsp;</i>I am trying to wear less black, but I had a funeral to go to after work for a dear friend's mother.&nbsp;<br />Black tee (with decorative trim at the neckline) - The Loft, faux leather lapel draped jacket - Macy's, animal print skirt - JCP, black pumps - Naturalizer</p> <p>3. Here's the one, the "not-so-great" outfit. I actually got several compliments, but looking at the pic, I'm not crazy about that poncho anymore. It's only two or three seasons old, but I think it needs to be updated. What do you think? Current or outdated?</p> <p>4.
