I got this dress a while ago after seeing Angie and Suz rock it, and when I took it to the tailor to have the sleeves shortened, she convinced me to chop off the asymmetrical hemline. I think she was right -- I'm so short it was nearly ankle length in back. Also I just chopped off the cuffs and went with elbow-length plain sleeves. I guess it worked because I took a walk to the post office on my lunch hour and two strangers told me I looked pretty!</p> <p>2. This is what happens when you mess up your outfit pic! LOL The red mask is one of a set of Christmasy ones ordered from Old Navy -- they're pretty but I was surprised at how small they are!</p> <p>3. I was uninspired about going to work yesterday so I cheered myself up with three different polka dots plus red reptile sneakers. And it worked! Fun fact: The cardigan is an OBG from Costco from probably 8 or 9 years ago.</p> <p>4. This polka-dot blouse also took a trip to the tailor recently to have the sleeves shortened and also to be taken in a bit in the body (none of which is visible in the photo, oops). This cardigan is probably one of the very oldest items in my wardrobe -- it's a GAP (or maybe Banana Republic?) boyfriend sweater that has to be close to 10 years old.&nbsp;</p> <p>Fun fact: somebody asked me today "Is dressing like that the way you keep your spirits up?" and I replied with an emphatic "YES!" </p>
