Not sure what I have to be afraid of in my clothes, but I’ll take it. (One of my favorite compliments of all times came from an ANC fighter who had to leave the country for safety and was just ahead of me in a PhD program. Discussing whether I could muster the courage to do a certain thing, he said “Stagiaira, you’ve got balls that drag on the ground”. I love it, because that man obviously knew from guts &amp; courage). Anyway, the closest to a theme here is following up on last week’s golden glows with another fall color, red. Yeah, that”s it. That’s the ticket: red.</p> <p>Does the slip showing work when it’s an all-nylon Vanity Fair half slip from days of yore, or do I just look clueless that my slip is showing*? These photos were taken by tourists who had just taken their own shots of “Honekus Erectus” (the tv tower erected by GDR leader Eric Honeker). The nonchalance of the guys on either side of the crazy lady teetering on the back of the bench they’re sitting on, oblivious to (or ignoring) the fact that I might topple onto them absolutely cracks me up. Until this close-up shot, I hadn’t noticed how well the top of the pattern on the dress continues the pattern of wrinkles and folds in my neck, oy vey. I’m sill going to wear the dress though, because I like it. I need a body stocking with a denser pattern. </p> <p>My usual inclination is to wear black and white pattern with a bright color, but on this day, toning it down with the black baby bootcuts just felt right. Headband is a little silk scarf from the 90s. Shoes are the new ones I’m still infatuated with. Red puffy jacket is starting its 4th winter now; do you see wear? </p> <p>I just had to wear the Klimt Tree of Life T-Shirt one more time before it gets too cold! I layered under with a Wintersilks ls T-Shirt and my first long johns (pants) wear of the season. When the elevator lobby matches me, I take pictures. Doesn’t everyone? Out and about, I just wore the red plaid jacket, but for next time, I feel another double plaid coming on….</p> <p>I have ideas for more outfits (brown &amp; purple, wearing those socks, that pink skirt, black &amp; olive), but it’s the end of the week, so I’m going to go ahead and post these. There are a lot of views already anyway. I might do an outfit lab with the other ideas, or might just wear ‘em and save the post for next weekend. I don’t often post finds, because I wear so much old stuff, but I will this time because most is newer.
