The shorter top really works here! I also like how the sporty touches add some nice contrast with the skirt.

*chuckle* Shevia - that's not the panty line! Just my tummy pooch creating a shadow effect with the lining I tried to set it right when taking pics ... But it just creates that lines when I walk I guess.

ETA: It does look like pantylines though! Lol! Oh boy!

Looks great - I love black and white with light blue. I hope you don't mind me mentioning that the second picture is more revealing of panty lines than I would prefer - not sure that is not just the camera. Just something to keep in mind when you repeat - as you should!

Thank you for your comments Ms K, Columbine and Ingunn.

Ingunn - The skirt is very high waisted. combine that with my short waist! When I tried to semi tuck ... It looked like I had no torso. Just very long legs attached to my chest

I love the skirt! It's a fun an modern look with the sneakers. Did you try to semi-tuck the tee? I think that could work well, too.

The top almost works like a crop top. I like the proportions and the fun edge you gave the skirt.

I really like this look, Neel! You made this skirt look a bit more edgy! I think the proportions are good!

Ok ... I am still not very sure if this works ... but DH thought I looked chic So, I went out the door with a spring in my step After all, if you feel good, you look good right? That's what I told myself ;)

I wore this for the school run this morning. I am wearing a pale blue crochet skirt (Zara) with an oversized linen graphic tee (Mango). My slip on sneaks (Steve Madden) and striped clutch (old/no brand) finished the outfit. I tied the tee on the waist (a bit lower than my natural waist) for some structure and to reign in the volume. I am not sure if I achieved a conventionally flattering look (more like a box look because of the fluid on fluid outfit) .... but I think I got the proportions right this time (Thanks Dianthus for pointing out the half lined and half unlined skirt issue!!) and hopefully it is also JFE? I have posted a flattering and not so flattering pose for you all to analyze.

Please feel free to advice. Because DH is obviously biased about the skirt (since he bought it and likes it!) I am on the fence about the look (not sure if I got the tied tee look right) but I was still happy because of the little compliment that DH gave.

Today DS2 was a sweetheart! He waved goodbye (with a small sad face!) but it was definitely a better day! Woohoo! Rushing now to pick up DS2! Have a good day you all x
