This is one of my hot-weather FFBO's, but it's a big departure in terms of WIW's that I've shown so far.&nbsp; Not that I regret it, but I admit I'm always a little nervous when posting something that's a bit different for me or the forum.</p> <p>Does my hair look like it's short? I'm a bit surprised (and pleased!) by the hair compliments, so I have to confess it's still long-ish. It's clipped up in back with a flat clip, because I was wearing a blue "straw" fedora earlier when the sun was over the trees.&nbsp; But it's set to have waves on the side toward the camera, so it kind of looks like a short, shaped crop.</p> <p><b>Jenn</b>, it is a skort! I found this particular one at Kohl's two days after I ordered a bunch from Athleta. I really like the extra couple inches the Athleta ones gave, but at 3x the cost I just couldn't do it this year... especially when I'm still not sure how much wear I'll get out of the white one. I tend to sit in grass and move dirty boxes a lot at home. (Kendo to foil is QUITE the transition! Strangely enough I did pretty well, at least for the 3 minutes we hacked at each other. It helps that I've got a good two-hand grip from baseball, and I've got quite a reach on him... and I'm left-handed, which is apparently pretty disconcerting for opponents. )</p> <p><b>Diana</b>, it was simply amazing. They started with Episode I and went forward, except for skipping Episode IV to finish off with it.&nbsp; Episode II may have been my favorite (!) - it was a lengthy arrangement of the love theme. So beautiful.</p> <p>But wow, I wish I could be in Boston! I really enjoy Star Wars, but Indy is my love! &lt;3 *swoons*&nbsp; (They did play "Scherzo for Motorcycle and Orchestra" from the Last Crusade - a much longer and more intricate version than ended up on the soundtrack. )</p> <p><b>Peri</b>, you're totally right! (Kind of crazy, considering the heat, but it's very popular.)&nbsp; This particular concert was mostly John Williams film music, with the second half almost entirely Star Wars.&nbsp; At least one number from each film, from prequels to the Original Trilogy and even Episode VII!&nbsp; And a laser show, which combined with fireworks for the final number.</p> <p>Anyway, I bought tickets with some friends, and we were planning on making costumes to wear. One as a female Jedi, one as Kylo Ren, and myself as a medieval interpretation of Princess Leia.&nbsp; But we were all behind schedule, while the forecast kept getting hotter and more humid.&nbsp; So we decided to just go with Star Wars t-shirts and focus on having fun.&nbsp; The concert doesn't start until after 8 PM, but the gates open at 5:30 so we get there early and have plenty of time to find a good spot and picnic.</p> <p>Aaaand somehow I ended up with my friend's Kylo Ren lightsabre in my hands, being challenged by her son. I took fencing one semester 12+ years ago but not two-hand sword fighting, so I got kind of preoccupied trying to figure it out. And my friend, of course, snapped pictures. I'm totally stylin' (HA) in my Leia <i>a la </i>Snow White t-shirt, white athletic skort, and white sneakers. Not visible: temps in the mid 90s with a heat index close to 100. It doesn't cool down here very much.</p> <p>But it was a wonderful concert! I regret nothing! </p>
