Maybe it shortens their lives, although I am still on my very first Heattechs that I probably purchased 5 years ago. It's worth the convenience to me, and it means I can coast by on 2 of each kind (2 short sleeve, 2 long, and 2 extra warm) because they also don't get stinky until after a few wears. I’ve got 2 different weights and vary depending on the temperature and what I’m<br /> Wearing. I can’t stress how much I love these. They’re lightweight and easy to layer over. A they wash like a dream(no dryer). Over the years I’ve grown my collection to 7 cream and 7 navy/black so that I never have a laundry backup </p> <p>The other item is light compression trouser socks from nordies. These are expensive but have proven their worth to me. I used to buy cheap pairs from marshals/tjmaxx /dsw but the heel would be half way up my leg, sometimes they’d be so tight I’d have to take them off in the middle of the day, sometimes they were so loose they were bunched at my ankles. The Nordstrom pair are sized, so the heel fits my feel. They are consistent, and gave just the right amount of compression to be all day comfortable </p> <p>Thanks for looking.
