We also had a ginormous (22+ pounds) black cat who used to love to yawn in your face to be sure you knew exactly how incredibly boring you really were to him. Damn, I loved that cat.</p> <p>So when I stumbled on this vintage Felix the cat tee at the thrift store for $3 I had a heavy dose of nostalgia thinking about Balthezar (the aforementioned cat)&nbsp;and snapped it up.</p> <p>Yesterday our temps finally got into the "warm enough for me to wear open toed shoes" zone (admittedly I run really cold. So I'm not comfortable in open toed shoes unless the temps are at or around 80 degrees or above). So I put the heather red t-shirt with my red Born Maldives platform sandals (which are SO comfortable I'm considering buying another pair in black or blue as well!).</p> <p>&nbsp;I also&nbsp;took the warm weather opportunity to wear my harem jeans. Which are&nbsp;now newly taken in at the waist and slightly tapered at the high-hip. So they fit as they are meant to, sitting low on the hip but&nbsp;without requiring a belt if I don't want to wear one (prior to doing this they were too big and&nbsp;sat just a hair above my pubic bone and if I had turned the wrong way they would have been down around my ankles. They worked fine with a belt to cinch them but otherwise would have been considered too big on me).</p> <p>I had to sacrifice the rivets at the corner seam pockets in order to have them slightly taken in but it was worth it because they are more versatile to wear with the option of no belt versus always having to belt them.</p> <p>Because I'm always chilly I threw on the my lightweight cropped cashmere sweater with a small leopard pattern on it. I thought the outfit was fun and comfy in red. A color I really love but don't wear as often as I'd like to (at least not as the primary outfit color).</p> <p>Nothing fancy or special about the outfit --&nbsp;but it was comfy and quirky.
