I have a few other pieces that go with a lot of my wardrobe, but I'm not reaching for them. I'm not ready to part with them but I suspect that my experiment will lead to them hardly ever getting worn because other items take priority. I'm hoping to whittle down my wardrobe by playing favorites, and whatever gets filtered to the bottom of the list&nbsp;might need to go even if it's something I <i>would</i> wear. I'm not getting rid of things anymore, because I already donated everything that I truly do not enjoy wearing. I had no idea I would love it this much and wear it this often! I'm having fun finding new pairings for it. I think this is my fave so far. This navy top has a sheer v-neck piece that I think makes it interesting. I find myself wearing this top A TON.</p> <p>I'm attempting a journey toward a minimal wardrobe, and to do this, I'm wearing my favorite items as often as I'd like. A few things have surprised me, like my distressed boyfriend-ish jeans that I barely wore all winter and almost donated. I've worn them at least once a week now! I think it's because they aren't tight like all my other jeans, which is more pleasant in the warmer weather (and I like them with a big cuff...they are crazy long, but I don't want to chop them). Another surprise was my black leggings that I had to pull out of my fall/winter pile a few times. They're finally hanging back up in my "active" wardrobe. A third&nbsp;surprise was the cropped feathery black cardigan in pic 2 &nbsp;that I bought years ago on a whim. I find myself reaching for it a lot! Today I wore it to work over a well-loved outfit that I'm sure I've posted before&nbsp;-- asymmetrical top with striped tube skirt. The cardigan spent most of the day on the back of my chair, but I did put it on once or twice.</p> <p>Other items in pic 2 are a new purple skirt that I keep wearing, paired with a shell I bought last summer and still wear a lot. A newish printed loose tee that I would wear every day if I could. A studded tee that I had put aside in the other closet, but just brought back because I really do like it, and a black vest that I keep reaching for. The gray drapey top I've had for 7+ years and still love it!</p> <p>I still have over 30 things on my "favorites" list. I'm going to keep working at this to bring that number down!&nbsp; </p>
