I like the brown and grey combo of 1. I think the grey plays nicely with the brown and makes it look more springy. I also like the light blue top in 2 and the red v-neck in 4. Those look like great summer tops to pair with bermudas or skirts. I'm kind of "meh" on the button down. You look great in the fuschia jacket.

I don't love any of these on you except for the pink jacket, worn open.

Hi Ami! My favorite here is the jacket top in #6. It's a little gear-ish, but it's modern and fresh. This would be great for some of your outdoor activities. The other tops aren't exciting me like some of your best WIW do. #1 is much improved with the "blue" jeans, and the brown is a fresh way to do boho. The second top is cool and easy. #3 and #5 are my least favorites --- the print top in 3 is too short, I think, despite your expert layering skills. The gingham top, with it's sleeveless cut, looks a little dated to my eye. I do like the idea of gingham for you, perhaps as in Vicki's recent WIW post?

What's your happiness factor here? Have you "pinned" or noted some favorite Summer toppers you've seen elsewhere?
Thanks for your suggestions! I changed to bluer jeans (and more refined sandals) - does that help the outfit?

And it really is okay if I need to ditch all these tops (just tell me). I have several others to try out :)
I think 4 and 2 are the better ones but #1 could be good with different pants - I can't remember what color jeans you have but even lighter wash blue jeans may be better than the gray to give more color. And you could add a necklace or bracelet too. The "farmer' Look you mentioned is something I worry about too with gingham, esp. red/white/blue gingham, so #5 isn't my favorite. I bought long sleeved powder blue gingham and have yet to wear it. I think that the "country" look could be subdued by adding an interesting pendant necklace or wearing it with skinny jeans or some other modern addition. I may save mine for cooler temps to wear under a jacket.

I like 4 and 5. 2 is also ok, but not as a big a fan of 1. This may be an issue of my taste though. The jacket looks more shocking pink in the photos. It would keep me awake for a morning walk, so I'd keep it

The next few summer tops:

#1 I'm wearing today: Brown floaty banded top. It seems way too boring with the gray jeans - what's a good way to brighten this up? I'm afraid I won't wear it much without some more interesting color, though I like the way it fits, and it's very comfy and cool (it's a cotton-silk blend, and the print does have a bit of green in it, so I'm considering adding some green).

#2 Light blue cotton top.

#3 and #6 sporty fuschia (is this fuschia?) jacket that I've been wearing on my morning walks. Is the color okay on me?

#4 red print tank. It's kind of a slinky knit.

#5 Red and blue gingham. I like this shirt because it makes me think "farmer". I'm not convinced that's a good thing though....

Should any of these stay?

I managed to purge lots of too-short tops last night - these ones are all reasonably long, I think. Thanks for your help and input!

EDIT: Top #1 with bluer-jeans. Yes, I think it helps - does it?
