I just got it trimmed, and it seems to have perked up! </p> <p><b>Chris</b>, I hadn't thought about the stripe effect of the sandals--good observation. For me one of the tricks to sewing is staying with less fitted and less tailored pieces, so it's easier to get a garment I'll want to wear. I generally like to make knit tops because they are so simple and forgiving. </p> <p><b>Anne</b>, yes, I thought the same thing about the 60s vibe. Grey and orange is such a fab color combination. I especially like the pattern mixing of the small print in the top and the "striped " effect of the orange sandals.
