I especially like #20 , lovely color combinations , and next is #7, green top is very, very nice on you. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw-summer-outfits#post-1935508 Wed, 11 Jul 2018 16:39:28 +0000 Diana 1935508@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Thought I'd sneak this WIW catchup post in here before the NAS madness starts! &nbsp;It's been very hot and humid for the most part these last few weeks, so I have to admit getting dressed is not that exciting. &nbsp;Still, here are some outfits that I liked. &nbsp;Feel free to skip all the descriptions below and just look at the photos if you want!</p> <p>1: a weekend shorts outfit, with a printed blouse and navy lace shorts.<br />2-4: some unexpected pattern mixing. &nbsp;I did not think this blouse/cardigan combo would work at all but I kind of liked it.<br />5-7: double handknit! &nbsp;Both the shell and cardigan are lightweight cotton blends. &nbsp;cardigan was only worn in excessively AC'ed bus though.<br />8: liberty dress with blush sneakers. &nbsp;This combo feels very 2018 to me.<br />9-10: &nbsp;This is what I ended up wearing to that harbor cruise benefit event I posted about a couple of weeks ago. &nbsp;My favorite blue dress, white blazer, low wedges, and turquoise clutch. &nbsp;This was about right in terms of formality for the event, although the dress ranged from women in capris to one woman in a full on evening gown. &nbsp;<br />11: a casual weekend outfit for running errands<br />12: cropped flare trousers and printed blouse.<br />13: These blue metallic flats are my wild-card purchase for the summer. Although they are exactly my style, I haven't bought flats for years for fit and comfort reasons. &nbsp;I had high hopes for these, but they did end up giving me a heel blister, and I've been too scared to wear them since. &nbsp;A shame, because I love the look. They may have to wait until fall when I can wear them with socks or tights.<br />14: A handknit sheer top with my black denim skirt. &nbsp;This top looks cool but is such a pain to wear, because it snags on everything.<br />15: drapey black layers for summer.<br />16: blush and teal again<br />17: an old, old favorite outfit combo that I've been wearing for years.<br />18: This navy dress is supposed to be tied in the back for a swing silhouette, but I thought I'd try something different by tying it in the front this time. &nbsp;I've been seeing a lot of dresses lately with this kind of loose gathered waist in the front. &nbsp;<br />19-20: Dressier teal outfit for a birthday dinner tonight. &nbsp;I was inspired by Brooklyn's dark romance project to dig out these steampunky chain fob bracelets. &nbsp;I'm enjoying wearing them but had forgotten how strongly they smell like old pennies, lol!</p> <p>(Bonus pics of boston skyline and sunset from the harbor cruise). </p>
