Some things will never get up there. My black party dress, for example, only has about 3 wears, but I've been very glad to have it in my closet when I needed it, and it will still be there when I need it again. Most things I bought this season are still under 10 wears, but if all goes well, I'll keep them for several years and they'll get up there before the end of their lives. I've made a few mistakes and, those items, I try to give a fair shot, but if they really don't work, I'd like to pass them on while they still have life left in them. Long story short, though: I don't have a super large wardrobe and I've been working on buying carefully.</p> <p><b>kkards,&nbsp;</b>all of my fitted summer dresses came from eShakti, and I took advantage of their custom sizing. You put in your measurements and boom, perfectly-fitting dress.</p> <p><b>Meredith,&nbsp;</b>I go back and forth on these pants, because some days I think the color looks like work overalls and some days I love it. I'm just wearing the heck out of my clothes, and am so much happier with my summer wardrobe than I've ever been before. I've included wear counts for those who are interested in the #30wears movement.</p> <p>#1 is my black silk tank from Garnet Hill with LOFT chinos from a few years back and a necklace my sister-in-law made for me. The tank is at 18 wears and the chinos at 38 wears. I'm wearing house slippers in the first photo, but I added a denim jacket and my Chuck Taylors to go out for dinner after an afternoon thunderstorm rolled in. The jacket is only at 13 wears, but I expect it to have longevity. Chucks (not shown) are at 32.</p> <p>#2 is a super simple summer dress from eShakti (11 wears) and my Bed Stu sandals (69 wears). I think I prefer this dress with ballet-type flats, but it was a trying morning (our hot water heater died) so I grabbed without thinking things through. Also red lipstick, because that makes up for not taking a shower, right? (Also, a Moxie cat in the background!)</p> <p>Your comments are always welcome!</p>
