You may come across the Ulla dress on Shopbop, the Outnet or Yoox on sale. I find the Outnet gets Ulla dresses the year after the collection and can be up to 70% off the original retail price (alas they are still quite spendy even at that massively reduced price). One thing that makes me buy Ulla dresses is that the fabrics are beautiful to wear and last well. I made it a dusty metallic pink (mixture of violet and bronze shoe cream). The second pair was black. I made it blackened gold (old gold shoe cream). The third pair was bright red. I made it a metallic sangria colour (mixture of burgundy and bronze shoe cream). It works really well as long as you don’t mind patina. The original colour tends to come through. More so with wear. Years ago I stocked up on a cropped mock neck style from Seed which was similarly useful. They stopped making them and I was DEVASTATED. I kid you not. Zara came to the rescue. I hope they repeat the style. </p> <p>Another style I’ve seen around that you might want to consider is a drawstring waist tee. I got some from ASOS and I’ve seen a similar style at Zara. Again, cropped, covered and no need to tuck. These haven’t been as successful for me as the Zara top because I find the arm cuff and drawstring a little fussy in comparison. I like my shoes neutral. My favourite colours for Summer are tan, camel, cognac, old (muted) gold and olive green. My favourite sandals this year have been the Easy Steps Kenya sandals in cognac. I have persistent plantar fasciitis and these are the most comfortable sandals I have. I have duplicated them in other colours and changed the base colour using Tarrago shoe cream but the original cognac is still my favourite. </p>
