Alana, I would never cut you!

Denise, what I could have said was, "Thank you!" I've read this can be a good way to respond to a back handed compliment and my little DD did this instinctively and it always had the gratifying effect of unsettling the "complimenter"!!!

Thanks for the input about the sweater. One of my current mantras is that you never know until you try. I would have predicted that the V neckline was the most flattering but I agree with you, in this case it was the least flattering.

Also thanks for the comment about the three colors! I wasn't sure but I really wanted to try it, and I felt fine in it.

Grrrr… your boss's comment bugs me. It's a back-handed compliment for sure. You need to let her know how comfortable they are, that might appease her. Tell her they're almost as comfortable as Birkenstocks, which she might be able to relate to.

As for the outfit, the work look is one of your best ever. The mix of three colors is subtly fashion forward, and the silhouettes are professional while also being perfectly flattering on you. The way the black Okalas tie in with the black pants seals the deal. You nailed it!

I like the way you've tied the sweater in 3,4 and 5 best.

K, Aida, Firecracker, Celeste, Suz--I drive myself crazy! I am naturally indecisive which is why I try to help myself out by picking the outfit the night before. But then the next morning it's "I like this outfit but I think it's better for Friday when I have that meeting" or "It's cloudy out and this is a sunny outfit" or the shoes, the cardi, or I'm known to spend 20 minutes deciding on which invisible earrings or insignificant pendant will finish off the outfit just perfectly. And then I'm behind! Glad you understand!

Ladywone, you are amazing in so many ways. Change three times a day! Did you ever read Anna Karenina where she visits wealthy people in the country and, intimidated by her hostess' amazing gown, she puts on her very best dress, only to realize that that was the first of about five clothing changes in the day, and each of her hostess' gowns is more sumptuous than the last! But I digress. I think you can handle a lot more sensory input than I can. Thrift stores are fun for you while for me they're instantly overwhelming. I strive for a simple, pared down style because that's all I can handle managing and looking at. But you are maximal! And so joyful while you're at it, my hat's off to you! (And thanks for saying my outfits are complex, that makes me oddly happy!)

Angie and Gracie--we agree that #4 was a good way to wear this slightly different cardigan! I will remember that. I've found it hard to style so I'm glad to have this little solution in my back pocket. And yes, Gracie, I was warm enough!

Shevia, isn't it odd? I wasn't looking for a signature shoe. It found me! I'm going to go with it! Sometimes I want to give some of my summer sandals some love but they never look as good!

Jody, you look amazing in that shade of green. Just gorgeous, and I adore the pairing with navy. I love this combination so, so much. Especially with the Okalas.

I definitely have to tweak my outfits. Sometimes I will take my photos and look at them before deciding what to do, or sometimes I'll go back and forth to the mirror a bunch of times. Unless I go with a FFB outfit, that is.

#1 and #4 look like fab options to me! Great blouse (that color! the drape!). Hello big pretty doggie, walking outfit looks cute as usual ^^ If I've thought of an outfit the night before (doesn't happen too often), I almost always change something (or all of it) in the morning

Wow, those pants are awesome on you! I love how the leg covers the ankle strap, and it looks like you're wearing a different d'Orsay shoe. You get so many looks from those shoes. (Funny story about people at work noticing!) The colors are fab, too--the citron top on you is gorgeous. I agree that #4 is an attractive way to wear the jacket with that blouse. It shows just enough of the color.
Apricot is pretty on you, too. And give your beautiful dog a pat for me, will you?

Now I for one am a more is more person I wish I could change 2 or 3 times a day. It is the details, that is what I like it is was I search for it is what I love searching for.

Today was another meeting at Headquarters (does that sound sinister?) so I went more conservative. The pants are the linen/polyester Halogen suit ankle pants that I got a year ago. The shirt is my favorite top ever.

I froze last week at HQ in a linen blend jacket, so for today I picked this moto-inspired rib cardigan. It was navy, but I hoped (partly tongue in cheek) I would look sophisticated and intentional pairing navy with black and lime, if anybody cared, lol. I rehearsed different ways of wearing it, and I thought fastened at the top (#4, which is different from #3) was cutest. But in the end I wore it cape-style (#5) as I needed to put it on and off frequently.

At the end of the day my boss said, "Are those the same shoes as you have in tan?" I said yes and she said, "These look so dressy." This was inevitable--the whole program (composed of 50 women and gay men) is going to notice that I wear the same shoe in one of two colors almost every day. I'm good with that.

For dog walking I tried a tee in a new-to-me apricot color. For $7.50 I decided to experiment. I like it!

Pants and shirt picked by Rae. Shoes and shorts by Angie. Sweater, belt and tee by me.

My outfits are very simple but I try hard to get little things as right as possible. I often have an outfit picked out the night before, but then something like how to fasten my cardi or which pair of shoes to wear derails me a little and I spend extra time on an outfit I thought was ready to go! Do you do this?
