The whole outfit is fabulous.<br /> In fact all 3 of these outfits are super flattering on you. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw-subversive-slouchy-separates-and-a-couple-of-others#post-954937 Thu, 13 Jun 2013 15:44:17 +0000 Diana 954937@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Today I wanted to play around with the idea of businessy separates in a somewhat subversive, lab-appropriate (read: not businessy at all) way.&nbsp; So I started with the idea of grey blazer + black trousers + oxfords, but I chose to use my slouchy, waist-tie trousers and my shiny blue patent oxfords (they are blue!&nbsp; even though they are impossible to photograph as such).&nbsp; I also used a white tee in place of a more traditional blouse or shirt to casualize the ensemble a bit.&nbsp; What do you think?&nbsp; Keep in mind that my activities today include lab (environmental norm: casual, but anything goes) and a Boston Pops concert (environmental norm: anything from gear to full suits).&nbsp; Those of you who work in more businessy or office environments: would this look fly in your office?</p> <p>Although I much, much, much prefer this outfit with the jacket, I've included a photo sans jacket so I can ask about the white tee.&nbsp; This is the first white tee I've owned in at least 5 years, and it is way out of my comfort zone.&nbsp; I have to admit that I feel like I'm wearing an undershirt, and I also feel like it makes me look a bit lumpy in a way that my millions of black tees do not.&nbsp; Do you like the white tee look on me?&nbsp; Or should I stick to colors/black?&nbsp; </p> <p>I've also included a couple of outfits from earlier this week.&nbsp; The skirt outfit was worn for our one-month anniversary dinner, and was the debut of my new Fluevogs.&nbsp; They are much brighter red than the artificial light photo shows.&nbsp; The outfit with the mustard crops was worn to lab.&nbsp; It amused me that I managed to put multiple types of mustard (Grey Poupon pants and French's shoes) in a single outfit.&nbsp; </p> <p>1-4: Nanette Lepore blazer, Gap tee, Suoli pants, Pretty Nana oxfords, necklace from Moiraklime on Etsy.<br />5: Greylin blazer, Gap tee, Nanette Lepore skirt, Fluevog boots.<br />6: Tulle blouse, Anthro pants, Fly London shoes, MZ wallace bag. </p>
