Mod (revival) was another very specific subculture I admired but never could have pulled off - they had actual scooter gangs and stuff I was quite young at the time of all this (early teens in the late 80s).<br /> Helena, it sounds like we were living parallel lives! My youngest is 13 and her style is in flux. I thought a few here would appreciate some nods to subcultures of the 80s and 90s in my outfit today. My youngest thrifted the tee shirt but has surrendered it to me and her sister as she's now in her Aritizia era. The jacket I have had for several years. Newish hair style (I want more defined side pieces next time, to amp up the chelsea girl look when I wear it up like this). My jeans are actually an ON version, distressed but no holes. The nail polish is a deep garnet colour my kid picked up rather than true black - a subtle match for my docs. Sorry for the not-so great quality of the photos this time! </p>
