My first thought was to pair it with jeans and a dark longer cardigan or blazer (black or blue) for this season. I do think it could work in the spring with lighter bottoms and scrunched sleeves.

Sounds like some great advice from the others. Glad to hear you will hold on to it, it looks good on you and I like it with the trousers. It would be great with white jeans.

Just as the others have said, it looks good, but it's very summery. I think you made the right call to store it for now.

I love this on you, and echoing others, I think it can be winterized. Perhaps a darker trouser or jean, and then top it with a blazer (navy might work) or a v-neck pullover.

It's a great shirt for all seasons! I think you can winterize this with darker jeans and a denim jacket or blazer. It has sort of a mod vibe, I like it!

Switch to these lighter pants for a spring outfit.

I like both pieces, the shirt and pants, but together they are very spring like. I would separate them and do the shirt with dark trousers, and the winter white pants with a cozy sweater. It's a great outfit though, definitely break it out for spring!

It is a button-down shirt. So I definitely could wear it open over something else.

But I understand your point on the colors being not-this-season, and agree with you completely. I think it'll get stowed in the "spring" box.

Thank you so much!

The shirt is great and I think you could winterize it with some deeper colors and a jacket. have you thought about wearing it open over another layer? I Jules makes some good points about seasonal issues.

This isn't terrible, but I'm very seasonal with my clothes. I think this would make a pretty spring/summer outfit without the scarf (maybe shirt open at the top with a cami under?) and with pretty sandals. I do like the shirt and I think the colours/pattern are current enough that you will be able to wear it next spring but I personally would not be attempting to fall-style it again.
Wait, is it a button shirt? It's hard to see the cut...

When babies start to walk, they fall a lot. I'm thinking that this is a 'fall' moment, not a 'walk like a pro' moment....

My challenge to myself this morning was to wear this shirt - it's a recent Clothing acquisition that won't live long in my closet unless I can find a way that I like to wear it. My first attempt (not shown, because I forgot to take a pic) was the shirt, with brown skinny cords and my burgundy twist-cardigan. The shirt seemed out-of-place bright (I'd hoped the cardi would tone it down).

So this is my second attempt - going with the bright with light (stone, maybe?) trousers, and burgundy scarf and boots.

I honestly cannot tell if it works, if it's completely awful, or if it's somewhere between. Would you mind giving me honest feedback? (pics were shadowy, so I lightened them to be reasonably true-to-color)

Also, how would you style this shirt (or would you just put it in the nearest "donate" bin?)
