I'd have thought the slouchy jeans and tough boots would be too RATE for prince. Urban for sure though.</p> <p>Joy and others, I think you're spot on when you say that this is a slightly different but very natural look for me. Before I got interested in crazy layering and print mixing and stuff, I wore a lot of black and simpler lines. I have always liked stumpy boots. So it's probably actually true that I've been wearing some version of this look for much of my life! And that you matched your belt and watch. :)</p> <p>I tried taking photos of some slouchy trousers once, and found that they photograph best when you're squatting an inch or two (ie, stick your butt out as if you're <em>just</em> starting to sit down). I really like the contrast between the structured blazer and the slouchy jeans/boots. For some reason my BF jeans always photograph less slouchy than IRL, no idea why. (Maybe because my torso is so short? Here the crotch is like 3 inches dropped, but it kind of just looks normal.)</p> <p>Nanette Lepore blazer, Gap tee, belt, and jeans, Frye boots, and Etsy necklace. </p>
