I love black and blue together and the close-up in photo 3 shows it's all working with the fit and length. Good find!

what about experimenting a boxy or cropped sweater over the skirt if you want give it more definition up top? It looks like a good length for that and would go well with the pants to my eye. Both the shirt and pants look good on you to me.

I think the fit and the length of the shirt looks fine! This will be a great layering piece!

The fit of the top looks good to me. It could be tighter, but that would be hoochie. Not that I'm sayin' there's anything wrong with that...

I am having big time day after regret looking at these pictures. I swear the shirt is not that oversized but it seems like in the pics at least I look like a big block on the top half. Sigh. These skinnies are too skinny to tuck, for me anyway, veering a touch toward leggings. This is my problem when I don't have a completer piece on, I never think my outfits look as good.

Texstyle, I've been looking for olive pants or jeans for purposes just like this - I think this shirt would look really good with olive. In fact, the jacket I wore yesterday with this outfit is a army green color and it worked well, I thought.

You can't really go wrong with chambray and black. Have you tried semi-tucking the top? I think that would add a nice structure to the outfit. I like to loose tuck the front of button downs.

I also wear my chambray with olive pants like Jessica Quirk (but mine with flats):

Ugh, those pictures are really un-detailed, aren't they. I was hoping they looked better on the computer than they did on my phone!

You can kinda see the stripe if you zoom in on the Old Navy listing:
http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/.....=920438012

I can't see the pinstripe pattern either, but I love black and chambray so this outfit is a win in my book! The shirt looks like it fits very well, surrendering the waist without swamping you.

I think the top looks great on you. It gives off a more relaxed vibe IMO. Of course, that could also be due to your rolled up sleeves. I have a couple of shirts I do that with, so I'm a little partial to that look. :)

I'm having a hard time judging the pinstripe and shoe pattern, so I'll leave that to another person.

I needed a new pair of black skinnies so I stopped by Old Navy the other day to see if any would work. Grabbed this blue shirt to try on along with them to make a complete outfit (does anyone else do this?). I liked it so much I bought both pieces.

I quite like the tonal pinstripe on the shirt with the print on my shoes. Comments and suggestions are always welcome; I'm curious whether you think the length and waist surrendering of the top works.
