Wow, Ginger! Such a lovely bunch of outfits. You look equally good in full skirts as you do in slim pants, flats and a tee, or tunic and leggings. If you had to beat me into submission to pick a favourite, then...#3/4 I think

Rachy, you'll be seeing a lot more of that combination. It was so comfortable and fun, casual that I can't wear at work but still pulled together. I think I need another skirt, though, for more options.

Thanks, bernard62 and abc!

Runs With Scissors, that's interesting! I'm used to seeing t-shirts untucked with skirts, so I feel like a rebel doing this. It unfortunately cuts off the lower third of a big design! But I'm liking the effect. And yeah - crazy zippers!

I love all your combos, and especially that you got a t-shirt to work with a skirt! I never succeed at this (the fact that I hate to tuck anything in may be part of the problem). Also love both jackets -- zips FTW!

1 is well pulled together, but I get a big kick out of Buzz... Not just 'cuz it's buzz, but I like the tucked tee and wide belt.

Jenn, I didn't plan it, but it worked out fine. I've worn skirts so many years that they're just clothes to me. This particular type - full and knee-length - is the most versatile anyway. All I did was kneel and squat and crawl around on my hands and knees, and it was fine for that. Thanks for the like on the casual! I was really craving the comfort of pieces that I loved, and who cares if they "went." You'll keep seeing more graphic tees this summer!

Thank you, Angie! I was really wondering about #9; for some reason it didn't feel quite right that evening. But I think it was that I wanted something springy and bare-legged and couldn't because it was cold.

Mochi, it's only what you see that is cohesive. There's a lot more in that wardrobe! It's a work in progress. I'm currently agonizing over spring footwear. I just haven't had the hours to set aside to cull what I have (which is a lot), but I think I have a lot of holes despite them. I'm itching to pull the trigger on pretty things I see all over the place.

9 is my favorite, but they are all great. This strikes me as a real cohesive, working wardrobe.

I am so impressed that you did yard work in a skirt and belt!

My favorites here are #5 and #6. I have a soft spot for cowboy boots and dresses, and as seldom as you do uber-casual, you do it very well!

Your Disney tee is cute, too! The graphic tee + skirt formula is one I enjoy too.

#1-2: February 29. New combination of pieces: Apt. 9 top that's seen a lot of wear, new black skirt, and Chelsea Crew maroon shoes. They have kind of a mod look that's fun. This was a comfortable, practical, and pulled-together outfit for a Monday.

#3-4: March 1. The colors are really washed out here. I think it worked pretty well overall, though I'd prefer a more neutral belt that didn't grab attention. (Way too many possibilities on Amazon, FYI.) Navy multicolor floral "sweatshirt," sage green skirt, and navy 1940s/50s shoes. Second pic with a soft cotton twill moto in pretty blue: score from a random brand in JCPenney's juniors section. This was mostly worn as outerwear and not a topper.

#5: March 1 (choir). It was quite a day, so I reached for "comfort" items when changing: school t-shirt, jeggings, and Cole Haan sneakers.

#6-7: March 2. This top has never photographed well; it's the green-base animal print. With black skirt, cowboy boots, and Western-style belt. I didn't remember until several hours later that it happened to be Texas Independence Day. ;)

#8: March 3. Favorite blue knit dress, this time styled for warmer weather with scrunched sleeves, nude hose, and black-and-white d'orsay flats. I got these flats last summer in a bid for summer footwear that incorporated black without being too heavy/attention-grabbing or too stark. I really like them.

#9: March 3 (choir). Navy floral sweatshirt again, green skater skirt, black tights, and green low-heel pumps.

#10-11: March 4. End of a hard week. I can say that the blue dress and shoes match perfectly...

#12-15: March 5. Crazy Saturday! I started out running errands, including another stop at Kohl's. Somehow I ended up spending most of the afternoon helping my brother and parents build my brother a flagstone patio and retaining wall. I'm good at arranging natural flagstones; it's like laying out a sewing pattern for cutting. I got a bit dusty, but nothing that won't wash!

This day ended up quite warm, but it started chilly and I hate being cold. The black is my admission that it really isn't summer or even spring yet! Buzz Lightyear t-shirt (superimposed on constellation Orion) in navy, chambray eShakti skirt, black elastic belt, Simply Vera sneakers, and light gray mixed-media jacket. It's sort of military/futuristic/Members Only all at once, in twill with lots of topstitching, faux leather, and knit side panels.
