I think I prefer the shorter roll, which actually surprised me. I had been thinking the lower, thinner roll would look good against the thicker Birkie straps. But the extra skin showing along with the wider roll echoing the straps actually looks better to my eye. Unfortunately I'd chosen the worst possible time. The Spring stuff was gone and the Anniversary Sale was a couple of weeks away. The shopping was grim until Rae pulled out a Halogen linen blend suit. With ankle pants! But it looked cute on, and I was desperate,&nbsp;and I figured in LA, in the social services, in July, ankle pants would probably fly. Plus the suit was quite inexpensive! I wore it to the interview and got the job, though I didn't know it till October.</p> <p>Fast forward. Guess how many times I've worn it since. Right--zero. This week I decided to quit saving it. I wore the pants to work.&nbsp;Then I realized I could use the jacket for Angie's khaki ensemble! I don't have brown gladiators, so I ended up with the shoe that goes with everything.</p> <p>1. to Church<br />2. to Farmer's Market, with the legs rolled up (per Angie's suggestion)</p> <p>3. legs rolled down (for Aida)</p>
