Thank you all for the replies and suggestions!
I like the idea of tonal scarf, Angie, and thank you for the thumbs up.

At first i was thinking I ought to be bookending, but a more tonal scarf would preserve the appearance of the "big" sweater without breaking up its form as much. I could go more-mauve-y for face color, vs. more silvery-white to lighten up, depending on the intent. And I don't really need to wear a scarf at all, but was trying to be inventive, you know! I don't need as much accessorizing when I wear it at work with lab coat over. I think I have found some gray slacks in a tapered cut (sshhh--AT) for when weather is not so freezing, and warmer weather would also allow Angie-ankle-showing-nude knee-highs with footwear! I'm also thinking a chunkier pendant would be more appropriate with this type of sweater, but I don't have that at present so not rushing to buy.

Lovely! I really like the color on you. I do like the scarf, actually, probably better than the necklace. But then a tonal color, as Angie said, would look really good too.

Moonbean is like a mauve. Looks great. Fabulous silhouette. 11 out of 10. Perhaps a tonal, low contrast scarf, will amp up the chic-ness of the outfit. How do you feel about that alternative?

I like SofM with and without the scarf. I'm looking forward to seeing it in your outfits going into spring. It reminds me of a pale grey open weave pullover that I bought in early fall. Love the color and fit.

Beautiful sweater -- a nice addition to your wardrobe, I think. I prefer it with the necklace, but tying it like an infinity scarf, so the drape follows the curve of the neckline, would be a nice look.

I also prefer this outfit sans scarf. If you want to sport the scarf, I would just tie if closer to the neck so you do not see the top peeking through.

Nice, way to go Team Wear! I thought this might be another sweater beamed down from the AT mothership It doesn't look too big at all. What about a lighter weight, silkier scarf? Also, how would your bronze boots work?

Thanks, pmc-- the sweater probably is best on its own for the most part.

I found an oversized BCBG Max Azria sweater on sale in this son-of-Moonbeam color that I liked with the AT tapered tweed pants (shown here) because it picks up the light flecks in the tweed and give some volume over hte more fitted (for me) pants, as well as working with some other tapered pants and jeans. Funny, when I wear it it feels ginormous, but in the photo, not so much. Methinks this is truly a feature of the fluid-to-oversized-fit shift that we’ve been seeing.

I was on Team Wear, so I actually wore on Christmas, with a scarf for more color and sparkle, because the whole thing was very comfortable and Christmas-dinner-waistline friendly. The knit is a cotton-wool blend, so I’m hoping to parlay it into the pastel-ish look for an early spring look with perhaps lighter pants and accessories.

What do you think? Do you think a scarf is too much with the already-high neckline? I don’t plan to wear one always, but was trying to get different looks. A scarf is one way to bookend but also to treat the sweater color as totally neutral and put a brighter color up top if desired.
