As with many trends these days, this one has been rolling around along the fringe for a few years already. Of course, "high" fashion provides a lot of over the top, silly versions of things we wouldn't wear IRL. And I wouldn't wear white tube socks with Birkenstocks (or, OK, any tube socks ever). But I liked this look and would wear others in the right weather conditions. </p>
