I definitely like the idea you've got behind it, and have no problem with half dressy half casual but the details need some tweaking. This is definitely a look you can own! If it were me, I would make one (or more) of the following tweaks:</p> <p>** Shoe tweaks **<br /> 1a - Swap the tennies with a dressier shoe (either flat or heeled). This will make the denim+tights the most casual element, and the top and shoes will all tie together nicely.<br /> 1b - Swap the tennies with a short boot (again either flat or heeled). This will make the bottom half cohesive, and the top half cohesive. I think you can most definitely pull off this type of mismatched vibe :)<br /> 1c - Swap the tennies with tall flat boots, probably something in a more casual style.</p> <p>** Shirt tweaks **<br /> 2a - Swap the top with a gray tee or sweater. This will make the blazer the only dressy piece and give the tennis shoes more balance. With the silk top, the shoes OR the top is a bit out of place.<br /> 2b - Swap the top with a cream, white, gray, or black button-up shirt.
