Gotta do what you can to stay comfy in the heat.

Really like that top on you and it works so well with the sandals. I do see a bit of seasonal confusion with the shorts vs the top, but it's not a deal breaker by any means.

LOVE your hair BTW!

I'm not sure about the pattern mixing (and color mixing) it does look seasonally confused to me. But I am conservative when it comes to color and pattern!

Anyways, you've got great legs, who cares about the outfit!!

Such a pretty floral! And I'm so picky re: florals. Sorry it is still hot like this, and I hope the outfit goes over as well in lab as it does here!

Love your title I think it works. It has your arty eclectic stamp all over it. The two patterns do play well.

You are really getting your pattern on this week :)

I think it works, the weight of the fabrics looks the same, even if the colour palette (hahah I typed patella originally, I am working on a bone database today) is wintry vs. summery.

I don't generally wear non-clamdigger shorts to lab (I get mistaken often enough for a grad student or technician as is) but it's supposed to reach 100 degrees today so I'm breaking my rule. I figured my baggy trouser-cut plaid shorts were a good compromise and not too short for work.

Pattern mixing again today. Today's combo is a springy watercolor floral and an autumnal dark plaid. I like the unexpected contrast, but I wonder if some people might find it seasonally confused. The shorts are a seasonless, thin suiting-type fabric and the top is a thin, drapey viscose jersey. What do you think?

Hope everyone is staying cool today!

H&M top, Uniqlo shorts, Naot sandals
