I appreciate your enthusiasm!</div><div><b>Gingko</b>, to give a long answer to your question: I thought a lot about possible cuts, gathered a bunch of photos on Pinterest of styles that I thought would work with my hair and face shape. I actually went back through my YLF posts to review the changes in my hair over the past several years. I was thinking I would just go in for a shorter version of the cut I was wearing, i.e., go for a chin-length layered bob instead of shoulder-grazing layers. But then I realized I wasn't really excited about that change. And I noticed that I liked the photos where I was wearing my hair up, showing my face and neck. So I went back to the web and pulled more short haircuts that I liked (again, looking for ones that I could envision with my hair and face). I winnowed out some, and I showed the best ones to my stylist, pointing out aspects I especially liked or didn't.
