A fun look for the weekend, I prefer a skirt to the knee or longer for a work setting.

Jules, interesting idea with the scarf. I tried it a few different ways and in the end settled on an arrangement that drew the eye up and down the body, to balance all the roundness. Not sure if it was the right choice or not.

I would definitely not wear this without tights to an office (not that I have an office to go right now other than my own). As I was wearing this out and about it was breezy today, and I kept on feeling like I needed to hold my skirt down. Not the most comforting feeling. I have no need to replay that scene from The Seven Year Itch! It was an ok outfit for a day, but back it goes to GB.

I would tie the scarf infinity style - I actually have a bunch of full short skirts with infinity scarf looks pinned - which is weird because I don't really have any skirts like that!
I think the circle scarf works with the circular skirt. Plus your polka dots - super cute!

Sorry, but I don't think this is at all office-appropriate. At least, not if you want to be taken seriously.

It's a great weekend look, though!

I think it looks cute, but I agree that tights would be necessary if you wanted to wear it to the office.

When I am concerned about length, I do all kinds of poses in the mirror, where I bend down and over and move this way and that to see how much of my upper thigh will be exposed in various positions. I have found that ordinarily, people can't see as much as I think they can. The main rule of thumb, of course, is to squat instead of bend over if you drop something. :^)

Looks fine to me but IKWYM about feeling exposed with the hiked up skirt back. I say wear with capri leggings or full leggings if you are feeling naked. Also I think the length is fine there is no issue of it being too short IMHO.

I had to laugh when Gwynnie Bee sent me this skater skirt, after our recent conversations about appropriate skirt lengths. I feel ok in it for the weekend, but I'm not sure if I'd wear it to an office without tights. I tried it first with just a knit tee but it seemed to call for a bit more structure than that. You can see in the side shot how the hem hikes up in the ba k thanks to my tilted waist and ample rear, another reason why I don't wear full skirts that much anymore. Would love to hear what you think about this look and the skirt length. Face is blurred just because my hair was still wet.
Top, Marshall's; sweater, Old Navy; scarf, Target; skirt, Three Dots via Gwynnie Bee; flats, Born.
