Jenna, of J. Crew fame. But this shirt is too soft and won't stay cuffed that way so I had to do it my own way. The double faced fabric is a super soft lightweight cotton, a bit sheer -- almost like a muslin. The shirt is made of two layers of this stuff. One one side it is a slightly larger plaid, on the other side it is a smaller check. All in the same colours. You can see it a bit in the Finds photo.&nbsp;</p> <p>I have been diagnosed true summer but I'm not confident about the diagnosis, LOL. I don't think it matters, to be completely honest. I mean I don't think we need to get nit-picky about it. I do think it helps to have a general ballpark -- I'm cool vs. warm; I look better in mid-tones vs. neon brights, etc. Anyway,&nbsp;&nbsp;I pick and choose between <b>ALL </b>of summer's colours except the yellows and anything verging on coral, because I can't wear those.&nbsp;</p> <p>Karie, you would look sensational in this vest look. I really like how different it is from my Reiss blazer (purchased on the same weekend). This one is body skimming with snug sleeves; the Reiss is more fitted. Both are fab in different ways. And both are really easy for me to throw on over jeans.&nbsp;</p> <p>Staysfit, that's sort of what my daughter and I are doing now, unless we give something to my stepdaughter, who is also close to the same size. My daughter is just s smidge taller than me and larger framed; my step-daughter is a smidge shorter and smaller framed. I am equally in awe of women who can wear wrap dresses or truly high heels or tough moto jackets or cocoon-like drape. They never feel (or look) right on me.&nbsp;</p> <p>Chouette, I hear you. This vest is not perfect for the "boxy" idea, either. It's fluid, but not boxy, so it won't work with an untucked top very well (as I discovered a few days ago when I tried it in a different outfit combination.) But I'm glad I kept it anyway because it's a nice soft cotton knit that doesn't make me overheat.&nbsp;</p> <p>Amy, I think you can do this. It <b>IS</b> an admittedly preppy look with a high crew collar like mine. Although it is weird; I don't feel preppy in it! &nbsp;You might try a V neck instead, although that can skew even more preppy at times.
