Deborah, I love this look and plan on a version of this as my winter 'uniform'. You look comfortably chic.

I understand what you mean about wearing something that is 'not you'. Finding what works for me that is stylish but not too trendy has been one of the most difficult things, but I don't think I'd have made the progress I've made without the missteps along the way. Those 'corrections' have really helped me hone in on what looks are aligned with my style goals.

Well, firstly let me tell you how stylish, elegant and "natural" you look in this outfit. Love the ankle boots with the jeans! And I can see some polka dots peeping through the coat, it looks really cool. (Sorry Angie for using this word).

I am so with you with the idea of "feeling good" in your clothes as opposed to looking good. We can look good in many things, but it is equally important to also feel like yourself. And one influences the other IMO. For me, the style journey has been a dance between pushing my limits, discovering I look good in more things, then determining what makes me feel like "me".

Thanks ladies. Lantana it's nice to see you on the forum, how's the weather where you are?

Denise you are too nice:). I just tucked my jeans into the boots very roughly (one leg popped out as I took the photo) but I didn't think if rolling them. I will try that, though I think I prefer tucking. I thought it looked a little RATE?

Lyn it's really cold here now. We have the heater on and I'm wrapped in a blanket:). Skinnies, boots and a scarf is such a great formula IMO, I just never tire of it. Agreed, I did a bit of wandering at the shops this morning and came home feeling what was already in my wardrobe was better than what I was seeing in the stores

Hi Deborah,
yes-very wintery today, and colder where you are I noticed on the news.
I too wore skinnies, boots and a scarf. 203232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232323232 Oops-kitty walked on the keyboard!
If we all dressed in what is being pushed at our shops right now many would be feeling uncomfortable and not 'ourselves'. It is nice to be at a point in our lives were we recognise our personal truth (style) and pretty much stick to it. It is also fun to be able to pick out a trendy item and turn it into our own Fab version.

WOW. I am going to copy this. What have you done with your jeans and boots? Scrunched, rolled, or tucked? I am struggling with the newer trend of pants inside boots. It seems to require jeans with an ankle that is skinny enough for mine, as well as booties that are narrow at the ankle.

Jayne it's been a wonderful year of learning and experimenting and now I feel it's time to really hone my style. For example, I never wore skinnies before YLF and now they are a staple in my wardrobe:)

Hi Ladies,

It's Saturday morning here and it's overcast and wet.... Spring were are you!

Of late I have really been considering my style and the fact that while somethings may look good they may not always feel good, or rather feel like 'me'. I expect to delve further into this in a later post, but in the meantime, today I reached for a look that hopefully looks good, but certainly feels like me:)

Blue Skinnies, navy and white polka dot blouse, black boyfriend blazer, black booties and blue scarf. And my current favourite black bag :)

This outfit feels streamlined, comfortable and is made up of darker colors, which I must admit to really liking.

Comments, suggestions etc always greatly appreciated.

Oh, and don't photos provide a gentle reminder of when our hair (or at least my hair) is due to for a cut and color lol.

Hope you are having a lovely weekend.
xxx Deborah
