Also, the slanted hem keeps the eye moving and works like a half tuck. The length of a normal tunic gives me really odd proportions since my legs are so short and draws attention to their chunkiness. Dresses as tunics hit where my legs are narrower and since they don’t have defined waists can fool the eye regarding where my legs begin. I think that’s the same reason why my cropped pants look better under a dress than worn normally. Tunics don't work for me, either, and short dresses are better, and after today's experiment, I think dresses over kick crops might be better than dresses over skinnies/ tights...but I'm still not completely comfortable in the crop and I am sure it is due to footwear. I actually like them with sandals or sneakers but not with my winter footwear. More to ponder.&nbsp;</p> <p>I've definitely had the tail into the toilet issue, crazy!!! But I still like the sweater. But I think you have a good point that psychologically difficult to wear colors might be easier to wear in smaller doses with lots of skin showing.</p> <p>Lisa p: The tail on this sweater hangs way down and hits me barely above the bend in my knee. I am used to gathering up a skirt or dress before sitting on the toilet, but it is easy to forget that this sweater is not short in back like an ordinary pullover/jumper.</p> <p>Emily K: I am very curious as to how you envision these socks being worn as I always welcome new ideas. Funny thing, I really like kick flares because they don't get caught on my calves like virtually all tapered pants/jeans. I bought these NYDJ jeans years ago because they fit well and were only $21. I bring them out over the Christmas holidays, around Valentines Day, and sometimes around patriotic holidays when I wear them with white and blue. They don’t seem quite so conspicuous in those contexts. And since they are jeans and starting to fade a bit, I may wear them more often. Next up will be with my lemming EB flannel shirt.</p> <p>Suz, your photo of a white shirt under your EF sweater inspired this outfit.
