Love the coral on you! The top looks fluid and not overly baggy. And the scarf makes the entire shorts and top outfit so much more elegant and fresh plus serves your purpose of adding volume. You look fab!

Love this. The drape of the tee looks fab to my eye and the scarf is perfect. I always think throwing on a scarf somehow magically elevates an outfit, even something very casual. It also provides the 'volume' you are seeking.

Sharon, I wear scarves like this in the heat, particularly outdoors as I like to protect that part of my skin from the sun and scarves are a practical and stylish way to do that

Firstly, I love your new profile picture - that colour looks divine. I'll check it on your blog, but I wish you posted it here too, it is well worth posting :-)

The linen top looks great and perfect for experimenting with fluid fit styling. By all means hang on to it, the colour looks fantastic with your hair. Did you try it semi-tucked? It could give more options with interesting belts.

The scarf does its work and serves your goal perfectly. To extend wearing the top further into the summer if heat is the issue, how about wearing (any) scarf just thrown around the neck with the ends left hanging down? You would have some volume and with the exposed belt there would be a lot of visual interest that way too.

It's AOK for casual, no worries. I love your accessorizing here with the scarf, sunnies and scarf.
I had a quick peek at your blog again Sharon and must congratulate you. Impressive! Jabots, ruching and twist fronts are giving you the volume you are seeking. I hope you can find-or have made- some tees with the same front detailing as your sheath.

This looks great, esp. w/the scarf. I'm not so sure it would look as nice in the *correct* size so to speak. Since it doesn't have set-in shoulders, the sizing is ambiguous. I will have to try a linen knit sometime.

The tee looks current like those oversized ones that Angie blogged about.
The color is beautiful on you. You could semi-tuck it for more structure.
I wanted to be able to wear a too big linen tee after weight loss and shrunk it a bit by machine washing and putting it in the dryer with low heat until it was the size I wanted. The linen got more crinkly but it looks fine.

I actually like it on you for casual wear. Slouchy but not overwhelming -- the drape makes it work.

I always wish I could tolerate a scarf in the heat, but I end up ripping it off, as Suz says.

Thanks, Ceit. I am trying to salvage what I can of my old wardrobe.
Suz, I do have some concerns about that. At the moment the temperatures are under 30 degrees and this is a very light scarf so it is not a problem, but things are going to get much hotter here, and I don't think I would feel OK wearing this top without something over the front to add volume. Maybe this will have to be a trans-seasonal look.

ETA: PS Suz, I have changed my profile picture to the top from the other day. It is on my blog if you want to see the whole outfit. I thought it might be a bit tedious to post yet another WIW with my white skirt! :)

Linen knits are brilliant, aren't they? I love them in the heat. And this works to my eye. I love the scarf with it. Boho chic!

Do you find the scarf okay to wear in the heat? That is always my issue. I know that some are lovely and lightweight, but I still get an urge to claw it off my neck when it gets really warm, you know? But it may just be a personal tick. The other side of the coin is that if you are moving from heat to air conditioning, a scarf can be an absolutely brilliant accessory!

I think it is great -- it's not too large on you, and looks nice and fluid. Perfect to use the scarf for volume and texture. Great outfit.

I bought this T-shirt last summer and it pre-dates both my weight loss and my surgery, so it is a few sizes too big for me. However, it is a drapey style and a linen knit and is therefore so cool and comfortable that I was reluctant to let it go. T-shirts are not the most flattering style for me, but I figure the scarf covers a multitude of sins!
What do you think? OK for casual, or do I need to bite the bullet and re-buy in the correct size?
