This is one time that the photo does not reveal more than the naked eye.. I&nbsp;found it in an Ann Taylor, which is a store I only go into occasionally because the looks tend&nbsp;to be a bit&nbsp;too "girly" for me. &nbsp;I took most of these photos on a single morning, not&nbsp;before the&nbsp;events. </p> <p>#1&nbsp;sparkly skirt, black cashmere crewneck, black tights and booties, and a slim&nbsp;belt. Worn to a Christmas dinner and baroque music concert at Old Sturbridge&nbsp;Village a few weeks ago. We&nbsp;walked though&nbsp;the old village from dinner to the concert, enjoying the holiday lights in the cold<br /> night. The decorations and menu were quite subdued, which is think is typical&nbsp;of how Christmas was celebrated around 1830 in New England. </p> <p>#2&nbsp;same skirt, with a blush sweater, black sheer hose, and black flats/wedges. I&nbsp;didn’t wear the pearls after all. Worn to an open house that some neighbors&nbsp;have every year. The hosts get pretty dressed up but most of the guests do not. </p> <p>#3&nbsp;black velvet blazer, white lace blouse, dark jeans, pumps. Did wear the pearls this time.&nbsp;Worn to a party at a friend’s place in Boston. (the find shows red but I bought&nbsp;it in white)</p> <p>I&nbsp;have to say I really liked these outfits but did not quite love any of them.<br /> The skirt was a big step outside my comfort zone and I’m happy to have it, but&nbsp;the outfits were a bit too dressy, although that was ok with me. I prefer this&nbsp;skirt with the black top and tights rather than the lighter top. I also think&nbsp;the flats I wore with the blush sweater were a bit too traditionally classic…but&nbsp;it was OK. The velvet jacket outfit was fine but I was wishing I had worn&nbsp;something a little more colorful.</p> <p>&nbsp;All the events were great! No complaints </p>
