It is so beautiful and calm, very feminine, demure, and I want to show off your little waist! I have chosen a skirt that I think is the type that could be a workhorse. It comes in an olive color that I would usually prefer, but the blue-black onyx draws me in more and seems like it would be a great fit for your retro autumn wardrobe. It's from Madewell and for some reason I couldn't collect it. You really pick things that suit you. I love the floral skirt. I like how you styled it but a couple of other options could be a peplum ( not too frilly) or a tank with a denim jacket. Since I'm home most of the time, I prefer bare feet (or socks in winter) on floors. Let's see, what I would be wearing if outside: for #1, oxfords with no-show socks; #2, flat sandals; #3, oxfords with low socks; #4, flat sandals; #5, flat sandals; #6, flat sandals. (Attached pictures of footwear: 1 has the oxfords with no-show socks, 2 shows my flat sandals.) Yes, I'm going to wear the wool shorts with tights & sweaters - any suggestions along those lines? I've never worn that style before. I was just too impatient to wait till sweater weather. Usually unless there's a tie, if a top fits my waist it's too tight in the bust and if it fits my bust it's too loose in the waist. Frustrating. What about tops like the mustard one: knits fitted enough to show the waist on their own?  Of course, it's just one idea! I actually prefer 6 to 2, so I clearly didn't find it too busy. I have a tricky time with skirts that hit me there, but that's a solution I use with looser trousers. The shorts look good, as does the sash! Love the way your hair looks always, but especially in 6. I like the belt in 2/6 as finishing the look. Since it's color blends with the skirt and top,it doesn't seem distracting or too much. I like the structure that it gives, especially as you have no leg showing. A belt would finish the short outfit in #3. This week we'll get to enjoy more pleasant summer weather, though not fall again. I've finished the wool shorts (#3) and worked in a ribbon sash (#5).  I do have a question for you: what length of top (and belt or no belt) would look good proportionally with the skirt in #2/6? I have trouble getting any outfit to look right. #6 seems too busy now (probably the belt).  Thank you, as always, for taking the time to comment and give me suggestions.
