No one has them in size 24. So I figured the blue ones will be more versatile in terms styling options anyway, since I view blue denim as a neutral. I'm less crazy about the waxed black. I do like them, but the drape is more stiff because of the wax coating. I wore the harems the other day and yesterday I went with the crossovers using the exact same workhorse formula that I did for the harem jeans outfit&nbsp;(hat, jeans, moto jacket and boots).</p> <p>Let me start by saying that the crossovers are too long on me (story of my life), which is causing some degree of&nbsp;bunching issues on the leg (they aren't draping nicely like they will once they are shortened).&nbsp;</p> <p>I'm taking them to the seamstress today to have shortened but I decided to wing it so I could try them out before altering --so I cheated and tucked the excess length underneath the ankle hem for the purposes of wearing them yesterday.</p> <p>I have plans for these jeans... I have many, many plans and outfit ideas that go beyond my workhorse formula&nbsp;once they are shortened (stay tuned!)</p> <p>Any-who, yesterday's outfit stayed true to my rocker roots and gave a nod to the 80's. Instead of a basic shrunken black&nbsp;moto, like I wore for the harem jeans, I upped the ante with a cropped patent leather moto. And instead of basic black booties I went full throttle with a pair of vintage 80's winklepicker boots with straps and&nbsp;hardcore skull buckles.</p> <p>I bought these boots at a hole-in-the-wall punk shop on Carnaby Street in London in 1988.</p> <p>Yup. 1988. These boots are 26 years old...and have served me well over the years.</p> <p>26 years later I can still clearly recall how I came to obtain these badass boots. I was in Piccadilly Square and there was a street performer doing some cool stuff so I stopped to watch him perform. </p> <p>Then I saw his boots. These were them.</p> <p>I waited till he finished performing, tipped him for his entertainment, then asked him, "Wherever did you get those boots? They are amazing!"</p> <p>He told me (and confirmed they had them in women's sizes).&nbsp;</p> <p>All plans for that day changed. I immediately jumped on the Tube and made my way to Carnaby St. and obtained said boots.</p> <p>The funniest part is when I've worn&nbsp;these boots recently,&nbsp;edgy rocker gals have stopped to&nbsp;ask me the same question. They always look a bit stricken when I tell them they'd need a time machine to go buy a pair.</p> <p>My shoe guy is amazing, too.
