Thank you, Angie. I will see what can be done. Every 10 days the meter has to be removed and a new one put in a different spot. Y doctor suggested using the upper arms but I can see that may end up being a bigger problem, especially with sleeping and putting on coats or jackets...more bumping and squishing. The advantage may be that I can use a hot tub but keep the arm out.

Okay! I get it, sweet Ruth. Thanks for explaining :)

How about for in the meantime, adding some strategy placed stitches or safety pins on the waist?

Love the fishnets and sneakers. Agree the lengths need a little adjusting, but am not sure about the narrowing. The wide leg may look right shorter.

Shevia, you got it. I also have a pile of things to take to consignment or thrift shops, but they are not open now.
Bonnie, outfit creation always helpful. I should be doing this with spring/ summer things but it is too cold yet. Maybe in late April..

Love the white top outfit! Understand the irony - now that we have time to sort through our closets and decide what to tailor we can't go to the tailor! I will be making a beeline as soon as the situation changes.

Kathie, you are so right. If the waist is not right, I will not wear the pants. The white sunglasses are favorites. They are Tiffany brand from a local Sunglasses Hut store, bought with the idea of using them with prescription lenses. My eye doctor has since said these will not work for that purpose. I have had these about a year.

The white sunglasses are wonderful! Love the fishnets, too. Nodding along with many of the other comments- yes, to slightly shorter on both pairs of pants. And perhaps narrower on the brown ones. I talk with the tailor about the waist first, before altering anything else. I know you want that part just right.

Yes, and my non-existent hips don’t help either. I have to keep the front under my attached meter which is usually just under my navel on one side or the other. Too low and it does not work with my underwear and I am not ready to go commando. Ha.

Like blue and white outfit very much.
The first outfit looks a tiny bit unbalanced, probably due to the wideness of pants.
It may be just me but I imagine that the same outfit with the stronger/chunkier shoes or low-heeled boots will look more right even without changes to the pants ( or maybe it's just me and the absence of loafers in my wardrobe ). You look very nice in white with matching sunglasses.

Thank you , Angie. The problem with the waist is that they slide down my hips. The blue and white is silk, more like raw than thin silk. They feel almost like wool and do not seem like a summer garment but I think they are meant to be for warm weather.
I am waiting for Nordstrom to reopen to take them for alterations and thought I would ask the tailor about the waist. Both pair have elastic in back with a front zip closure.

You're rocking your at home style, sweet Ruth!

Loving the white and blue in the second outfit. Length could do with a slight hack as you mentioned, but not much. Top is a nice fit. Cute fishnets too :)

Maybe you can show us what the fits on the waists are like before you have them altered?

Maybe light knee-highs with outfit #1, and you are sorted. Much love to you. Stay strong and healthy. xo

Photos 3-5 are navy and white window pane check with a white support act. I used a white sweater over a white tank for warmth and white sneakers. The pants and sweater are EF. My small bag is a deep grey and maybe white or navy print would be better. If I were going out I would take the large navy leather tote. Big pearl earrings.
The photos 1/2 are a wide crop plaid pant in shades of tan and brown with a gold EF sweater and gold flat loafers rather than heels. Gold hoop earrings.
I plan to have both pairs of pants shortened for warmer weather and taken in at the waist. The brown pair I think need to be narrowed a bit, maybe both pair. What do you think?
