Like the Season- these from WHBM are super stretchy. Maybe they’d work for you? They did bagout by the evening, but it’s a price I’m willing to pay.. I’ve got limited options due to my 36” inseam, and the ones I’ve tried that are less stretchy make me miserable.

Great outfit! Envious of how these skinnies look on you -- I've had a lot of trouble finding ones that work, too.

Thanks everyone..I think the issue is the new silhouette. By the end of the evening I liked the look much better. While I like skinnies/slim straights on others I’ve never found a pair that fit well/comfortably on myself, which I think led to a personal poison eye about the look.
I can’t play with the shoes much due to some knee/back issues..but I did just get a great slim mustard belt from Boden that might be just the right finishing touch. I’ll give it a go the next time around.
Thanks again everyone!

Super cute. Cuff or roll the hems is you like. Add a white belt too. But this looks great as is.

I think this is a lovely outfit - smart modern and classic.

I find with new silhouettes it can take me a while to feel comfortable. Things you could play around with are different shoes (heels, boots, loafers etc), cuffing the jeans, a belt with the jeans, a jacket, an untucked top etc...

I would see these as a midrise relaxed skinny or straight jean - and straight jeans are my favourite - just a really good shape that is flattering and easy to wear.

Why don't you like skinnies? They like you. I think the jeans look great, what about the fit feels off? I don't wear skinnies as they don't fit my calves, but have similar pants length issues with straights, and have begun cuffing them with sneakers. Do you have any mules or sandals to try them with to see if that better highlights the split ankle detail? Or maybe some booties?

Hi Taffy, I really like this! The blouse is pretty, the jeans fit great, and the shoes look very current. I personally always feel better with a cuff or roll on the bottom of my skinnies, but this is arguably my personal rut lol! But just to say, it could be just a tweak in styling somewhere that will make you feel better. If it's a completely new silhouette, I'd suggest giving it a go a couple of times to give your eye a chance to adjust, maybe with a few tweaks (e.g. different shoes, tops, etc.), to see what you learn and what feels right to you.

These are some new skinnies from BHWM paired with an older Boden shirt. I don’t really wear skinnies, but desperately needed some pants for fall/winter and this is what I found. The fit isn’t perfect, but probably “good enough”. The second photo shows that it’s a split seam on the inside of the leg, which is why it “flags” a little bit at the bottom in the first photo. Any thoughts and analysis are welcome, since I’m at the stage where I’m not sure if I don’t love it because it’s new to me or because it’s warranted.
