I have those same booties and I wear them with skirts - they are definitely big around the ankles, but with those booties, I think its an "ok" look! I think I would try wearing a more structured top with this skirt. The skirt with the polka dots and the length of the skirt, along with the boots, are a pretty cheeky look, and I think that it would look better with something more sleek/structured/serious? on top! I love the purple added to the outfit - that looks super. Also, I would consider *really* mixing your patterns by wearing a microfishnet tight or some other patterned black tight as opposed to just a plain black. I wouldn't wear this blindingly BRIGHT combo to work, but I did wear it to the theater.
