It’s ok to have and express the negative feelings, but I’ve personally found it helpful not to focus on specifics, and to avoid conversations or posts with people who get into those details in a negative way (‘I hate that my beasts or hips or thighs are this or that’ vs, ‘I prefer wider pants for my body type’). I spent most of this year wearing sack dresses and the sloppiest sweats imaginable. I’m slowly coming out of it, as I now want to feel better about myself. I’m trying to avoid talking about how I feel about my body. It’s painful. It sucks. It’s out of my control. And on top of it, the house is still very torn apart, though coming together more and more each day gratefully due to my enduring husband. </p> <p>Dress is a flutter sleeve wonder from Walmart. (Get out!) it’s a double weave gauze fabric. I bought 2 more colors in the same style: warm navy and burnt orange. With a sweater, fleece tights, and boots it’s pretty warm in the winter. In the summer it’s cool and breezy. I wish the waist line hit a smidge lower for my long torso. But it is great. My one regret is not buying duplicates ha! It’s just a lovely dress. </p> <p>Makeup is an experiment. Eyeshadow is Viseart dark matte palette. I have come to find out I actually really don’t love a colorful eyeshadow look except on a rare occasion. Also, the palette itself isn’t my favorite. The colors are extremely pigmented. But the formula is also pretty dry and patchy compared to Colourpop and Anastasia BH. I like the colors in theory, especially for clothing! But the reality is, I use only a single shade in the V to provide a little color to neutrals. The good thing is this little palette will probably last me 3-6+ years as this rate. Though I’ll likely never use the orange and yellow shades. </p> <p>Vote on the cardi if you would? Not sure about this particular cardigan with it. The longer length bothers me. I tried it tied up but it’s actually quite bulky tied up. I think it needs either a more textured long cardigan OR vintage waist length. So there is some visual interest. </p> <p>Other makeup is<br /> Lipstick: Revlon Vampire Love worn as stain<br /> Blush: Milani mineral in Rose something<br /> Foundation: Elea Blake mineral custom blend<br /> L’Oreal mascara </p>
