The jacket is a really good silhouette on you. This is a great outfit overall. And you're right, the colour combination is fantastic.

I'm less fond of adding the red myself, but I always have been conservative when it comes to combining colours from different "families". For brightness, I would have preferred a silver here, to keep the moody vibe going.

Although blurry I really like the combination of colors and proportions of this outfit.Well done!
I see nothing wrong with the jacket but maybe if you wanna try with different pictures to see how it looks better. Also I find that whatever I wear underneath the jacket sometimes alters my comfort level in it.

I think the outfit looks great and wouldn't have noticed anything off about the jacket if you hadn't mentioned it. The shoulders may be a little wide but I think the jacket is definitely wearable until you're able to find something you like better.

Amy: This shape of jean is amazing on you -- get more! The strong shoulder line isn't a problem for me either, although I understand how we're all "balancing" elements in our bodies with clothing choices.

This color palette is very pleasing ---- love these deep, saturated tones on you!

The jeans turned out great! And I love your colour combination. I do agree the jacket shoulders might be a touch big, but it will be a good placeholder while you find something better!

I think the jacket looks great with the jeans and the grey top. Very pretty. I am not sold on the red bag. For me, the bag is a warm red and the jacket is a cool red but I have a thing for cool reds and always love them more than warm reds. Very cute outfit.

That colour combination is indeed delicious. If you don't mind my saying, I rather think the shoulder line of the jacket works beautifully here to balance the flare on the pants --- I don't find them too strong at all! Rather, it seems to emphasize the nip in your waist by highlighting the hourglass shape.

Amiable, All I can say is I've been lurking around this site for a few months now, afraid to post much more than the barest positive feedback. You have made a complete transformation in such a short period of time. The indigo and plum are inspired. You are working with what you have and it looks beautiful.

I like the colours together! And I agree, your jeans darkened up nicely. The jacket looks great from the back, but if the shoulders are bothering you then perhaps you can replace with a better fitting one as soon as you are able to.

I always worry about whether my bag works with plums, other reds, fuchsia, etc. But I end up wearing it anyway since it is my only one at the moment! And it surprises me by working more often than not.

I admire your ability to transform your wardrobe! The shoulders do look a tad big but I really like the jacket and the colors together, even the red bag! You have such a pretty smile.

Inspired by this post
http://chevronsandstripes.com/.....digo-plum/

I decided that I wanted to pair the colors plum and indigo. So I did (adding gray, to match the watercolor pic in the post).

The jeans are my freshly-darkened wide leg jeans. I think the color turned out great!
The gray sweater is the one you've seen before. (I found one that I like better in my maternity clothes box, and slimmed the tummy off of it, but was dismayed to find that it smelled musty and definitely needs washed before I go wearing it). The plum jacket was in my 'out' box, because I feel like the shoulder pads are too big. I tried removing them, and then the jacket was too big. So I put in smaller ones, and the jacket looked frumpy. So I re-attached the original ones to wear today. I liked the color combo, but still think I have too-big shoulders in this jacket, so I don't know whether to keep it or not.

I wore this to church and Thanksgiving Dinner #2 today. I got lots of compliments, but in general didn't have my bag on me. Does the red bag go with this ensemble? Does the outfit work? (Suggestions more than welcome!)

(Sorry for fuzzy pics, I lightened them to close to the actual shades... But the jacket is closer to a purple than a burgundy)
