Sometimes I tuck the belt end back in behind the loop when I have a too long end, but it depends on the bulk. </p> <p>I was going to suggest trying a long necklace, but I think it might compete with the belt. So perhaps if you switch out the belt some other time. As weather turns colder, would you wear a fun fishnet trouser sock or hose? I like the bit of bared skin, too, especially because it repeats on the arms and legs. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw-pleated-br-crops#post-1845488 Sat, 16 Sep 2017 19:06:18 +0000 Emily K 1845488@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>I was inspired by <b>Jenn's</b> recent post&nbsp;<a rel="nofollow" href="https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/digging-this-silhouette">https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....silhouette</a>&nbsp; to put on this outfit. &nbsp;The combo of wide crops and loafers isn't the easiest silhouette for my shape, but I think this outfit remains JFE. &nbsp;These loafers are my favorite, so far, to wear with these pants. &nbsp;I think the d'Orsay styling with the uneven top edge and open sides helps to mitigate the stumpifying effect. &nbsp;Also, I know the turtle neck could maybe be replaced with a V-neck for a longer look. &nbsp;Comments and suggestions for improvement welcomed!</p> <p>I do want to share about the pants! &nbsp;These pants are the pickiest, most delicate item in my closet. &nbsp;I've actually purchased two pair. &nbsp;The first pair (the pair I'm wearing in the photo, actually, as they got demoted to casual pants) got wrecked in the laundry the very first time I washed them. &nbsp;Even though I tried to follow good laundry procedure--turning them inside out, washing on delicate, hanging to dry-- they faded in creases all over. &nbsp;The second pair, I hand-wash in Woolite Dark and dry flat and they are still fading a little bit on all the seams and they have been washed only a couple of times. &nbsp;The care label specifies "machine wash" but I'm thinking to ask if they could be dry cleaned instead. &nbsp;Anyway, approach with caution. </p>
